5月25日（木）と27（土）に行ったグローバルコミュニティーカフェ（GCカフェ）が楽しく終わりました。25日の夜の英会話カフェは人数が少なかったのですが、移民について会話しました。ネイティブ1人と日本人2～3人のグループで移民についての思い込み等を話しました。
27日の午前に実施したグローバルコミュニケーションコースではフィリピン出身の佐々木マルセルさんのタガログ語と様々なフィリピン文化等を聞きました。フィリピンのお菓子も作って来てくださったので途中のおやつタイムでは、参加者同士楽しく交流することができました。午後の英会話カフェで、木曜日とは違う雰囲気で楽しく移民の手続き、やその背景、その利点と不利益について話しました。
来月のグローバルコミュニケーションコースではベトナムの言語や文化について学びます。英会話カフェのテーマは違う言語とその語者のステレオタイプについてです。楽しみにしています。

The Global Community Café (GC café) took place on Thursday, May 25th and Saturday, May 27th. On the night of the 25th, the English café made groups of 1 native English speaker and 2~3 Japanese people, and talked about their prejudices towards immigration and other related topics.
On the morning of the 27th, Mrs. Maricel Sasaki a native of the Philippines, presented on Tagalog, and various parts of Filipino culture. She even made a Filipino snack that the participants enjoyed during a fun little tea-time where everyone was able to interact with each other. In the afternoon, different to Thursday’s café, participants were able to talk about the process of immigrating, rational reasons for why one may want to or not want to immigrate somewhere, along with the advantages and disadvantages to immigration, not just for the people themselves, but for countries as a whole.
Next month we’ll be learning about Vietnamese language and culture in the morning, and the theme for the English café will be stereotypes of different languages and the people who speak them.
