 Naomi’s Japan: Japanese Roots

As you may or may not be aware, my family is Chinese on my mother’s side, and Japanese on my father’s side. I’m often asked where in Japan my family is from, but as we are so far removed from our Japanese roots, it is sometimes difficult to say. For the past few years, my father’s Uncle Hideo has been helping to contribute to a virtual gallery following Japanese-Canadian immigration into the British Columbian interior. It has recently been finished and is currently on the internet to be viewed. If you have a minute, please take a look at the story of my grandmother’s family’s move from Japan to Canada.
